Location: Ocala area (service region includes Ocala, Homosassa, Citrus Springs, Wildwood)
Positions Available:
1. Warranty Repair Trim Carpenter (1099 Independent Contractor)
2. New Construction Trim Crew (1099 Independent Contractors)
Position 1: Warranty Repair Trim Carpenter (1099)
Compensation: $950/week (1099)
Typical Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Appointments: Assigned AM or PM windows
Workload
• 5 or fewer homeowner appointments per day
• Most appointments average 30–40 minutes
• Mix of light service items and higher-skill trim/door repairs
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and complete warranty-related carpentry repairs independently
• Door work: front doors, service doors, interior doors, pocket doors (remove/reinstall as needed)
• Correct door issues including poor reveals, alignment problems, and doors not latching
• Pocket door troubleshooting (including “ghosting”/alignment concerns)
• Crown, trim, and finish corrections/repairs
• Stair-related repairs, including metal balusters
• Minor items such as weatherstripping and bug sweeps
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience in trim/finish carpentry (doors + crown strongly preferred)
• Ability to work independently without step-by-step instruction
• Professional communication and clean work practices in occupied homes
• Reliable transportation required (Ocala, Homosassa, Citrus Springs, Wildwood service area)
• Must provide own tools (trim/repair-ready setup)
Tools & Materials
• Materials provided by Dakoda’s Doors And Trim
• Contractor must provide own tools
• Travel/mileage is built into the weekly salary
Position 2: New Construction Trim Crew (1099)
Compensation: 70% of each PO (piecework)
Responsibilities
• Install trim package and crown in new construction homes
• Deliver consistent, punch-ready quality at production pace
Requirements
• Must be able to complete a full house of trim + crown in one day
• Proven new construction trim experience
• Crew must have reliable transportation and tools
• Strong finish quality: clean miters, tight reveals, consistent crown installs
