12 volt fuel pump with fittings and mounting hardware.
Delivers 5 to 9 psi
Can be used as a fuel boost pump to avoid excessive engine cranking with a mechanical pump to get fuel to the carburetor(s).
This is a CONSTANT DUTY fuel pump but can also be used as a FUEL BOOST PUMP.
If I let my ’64 Buick Skylark sit for more than 2 weeks I would have to crank the engine for as much as 1-1/2 minutes to get the fuel to the carburetor before it would start. This pump would be used to get the fuel to the carb without having to crank the engine. This way I would reduce the wear and tear on the battery and the starter motor. (I sold the car in March 2020)
The pump is unique in that it has flow thru capability meaning that fuel will flow thru when it is not running (not all electric fuel pumps allow that) providing your mechanical pump is ok.
So you run the pump for 30 seconds and the car will start right up. Will work on any 12 volt car with a carburetor.
Includes pump, mounting bracket with hardware, hose clamps and fittings. It also has an anti drain back valve.
I sold the Buick before I got a chance to install it.
