Up for sale is an amazing custom order Suhr Modern. Very rare hardtail option, 2023 build with several notable upgrades such as waterfall burl maple top, ziricote fretboard, nicely figured roasted flame maple neck, abalone inlays, abalone logo, hardshell case. Build price would be ~$5K+ to order today based on configurator on Suhr site. This is a great opportunity to get a high spec custom Suhr at a very reasonable price. I have also only seen a few hardtail Moderns over the years, they rarely show up for sale.
Tone wise, the Aldrich pickups sound great with lots of gain, but also clean up fairly well. The guitar can cover a variety of styles, but with the hardtail bridge it is well prepared for rock/metal at lower tunings. I have enjoyed playing a wide variety of styles on it, but definitely a rock machine!
I am the second owner of this guitar, and bought it from the original owner a few weeks ago. Although this is a fantastic guitar and I would love to keep it, I have gone a little overboard with my purchasing over the last few months. I need to sell some of my most recent acquisitions to make up for it.
The guitar is in excellent condition overall. Upon very close inspection, the only minor condition pieces to report are: 1) a light impression on the back of the neck close to the headstock, which I did my best to picture (picture 21/25); 2) some general light swirling/scratching in the finish due to use of cleaning cloth that is impossible to picture - this is a mostly black guitar, so that is hard to avoid. But this one is extremely clean! Anything else you may see in pictures is just light dust or reflections. Frets are in fantastic shape with extremely light wear. No visible tarnish on bridge or tuners. Case is in very good shape overall. Smoke free ownership throughout.
The guitar is currently set up with 10-46 NYXL strings in E standard. Notes ring out well on the guitar with minimal buzz, and the action is set quite low. If you like a different set up, please be prepared to adjust it when you receive the guitar. I cannot guarantee that the set up will fit your needs.
I like to describe guitars at this price point very accurately, so to me if you have any questions at all about condition.
