Note: there is Lexan incorporated in the "sandwhich" but the exposed surfaces are real strong glass, Not to be confused with LEXAN alone ... that is a plastic and scratches easily. The glass is laid up against corrugated cardboard and this can be seen through the clear glass. The glass is totally clear.

This is a piece of special glazing that was used in a jail that is designed to withstand an attack from gunfire and traditional hand tools. It is a sandwich of special heat or chemically treated glasses and films that make it virtually impenetrable.

It has a rating against forced entry: ASTM 1915 GRADE 1 WMFL LEVEL I
It has a ballistic rating: .44 magnum revolver, 25 rounds, 240 grain, Soft Point ammunition, 29 feet. Spall with NO Penetration.
