Position Summary: The Mobile Home Plumbing Installer is responsible for installing complete plumbing systems in new manufactured and mobile homes. This position involves laying out, assembling, and connecting water supply, drain, waste, and vent systems according to blueprints, specifications, and applicable plumbing codes. The installer works closely with construction teams to ensure high-quality installations are completed safely and on schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install water supply, drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems in new mobile and manufactured homes.
Measure, cut, assemble, and install PEX, PVC, CPVC, and related plumbing materials.
Install plumbing fixtures including sinks, faucets, toilets, showers, tubs, and water heaters.
Connect plumbing systems to municipal water, sewer, or septic systems as required.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
Perform pressure tests and inspections to verify proper installation and code compliance.
Ensure all installations meet local, state, and federal plumbing codes.
Coordinate with other construction trades to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
Complete installation documentation and reports as required.
Qualifications
Experience in residential, manufactured home, or new construction plumbing installation preferred.
Knowledge of plumbing installation methods, materials, and building codes.
Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
Proficient with plumbing tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
Experience installing plumbing systems in manufactured or mobile homes.
Knowledge of PEX manifold systems and mobile home plumbing layouts.
Understanding of construction site safety practices.
Ability to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards.
