One of our chickens has gone blind. She is very sweet, about 5 years old, and still lays several eggs each week. She’s not difficult to care for — I place her outside each morning with food and water, and in the evening I pick her up and put her back in the coop.

She doesn’t travel far, but she does need a somewhat restricted area so she doesn’t wander off and get lost. She is very easy to pick up and has a gentle personality.

I have some trips planned and am looking to rehome her to the right person or family. She does have a sister and another companion hen, both about the same age, and both can see normally. If you have room for all three, they can go together, which would probably make the transition easier for them all.
