Back in the day, there was a film producer that needed to have serios audiophile bass for his productions and after many trials George Lukas ask two engineers to help him with the studio. George commissioned them to build a great at box with his specifications. The rest will become history with Star Wars in THX and many movies with specs done by Miller & Kreisel. They are the inventors of the subwoofer!
I absolutely love their subs, tried many others costing several thousands but they are not as musical and amazing as the M&K. If you re in Florida come and audition this one and another I have. They have two-12 Inch Drivers with a push & pull technology to emphasize the correct sound pressure and avoid being boomy as most others are. If you are looking for an accurate bass this is it no fluff no BS.
For music you only need one IMO but if you want the large theater spectacle, 2 would do the job quite nicely. Remember, each sub is like having 2 subs, (2x12 inch drivers).
They are built like a tank for all the good reasons, so it may not be cheap to ship but they worth every Pennie. it if you were to buy them new at 5 times the price or more.
