This original Ships Telegraph has been a display piece in our home for over 20 years. We are downsizing and it is time for someone else to enjoy this lovely decorators item. My research tells me this most likely mounted in wheelhouse of a 1920's or earlier harbor tug.
The item has a light in it which lights the dial, and we have used it our entryway. It serves as a night light. The solid wood base is beautiful in itself. The controls are solid brass. The glass on the Port side is cracked, but still in place.
I paid at least what I am asking for. The last one similar, but much large, I saw in a St.Augustine antique store, they were asking $2500. I doubt that you will find another one like it. MUST SELL MAKE ME AN OFFER I CANNOT REFUSE.
